Soft(ware) masculinity
qualities or attributes regarded as characteristic of men or boys.
That's one way Oxford defines masculinity. There's of course a lot more to be said about it, but in this post I just have a few questions.
Software developers are overwhelmingly male and software development is extremely male-dominated. Why, then, aren't we considered masculine? Why aren't Zuckerberg, Musk, Besos and the rest seen as modern paragons of masculinity?
